A Wish Filled Summer
When the Make-A-Wish Foundation invited us to think about a new way of explaining to people what they do, we were struck by the commitment of the organisation and its volunteers to make sure they can grant every child’s dearest wish. This called for a qualitative, longer film format.
The result, a 50 minute documentary explaining the importance and effect of granting the dearest wish of children with a life-threatening disease, premiered at the DeLaMar theater in Amsterdam during IDFA week 2017. In the film, we join three children -Fauvé, Richard and Sem- as their wishes are being fulfilled. The documentary also tells the story of the Make-A-Wish foundation itself and that of the huge number of devoted volunteers whose efforts are essential in making these wishes come true.
